A perfect place for rebirth

Sitting near the sea I start to forget
Wave upon wave of dawn upon the shore
Erased the sandy tracks and let
Me hope to live once more.

Darkness faded too many times
For me to keep the night inside my heart
If I were guilty of some crime
Let each new day be a fresh start.

Wave upon wave of dawn upon the shore
My breath faded in the lullaby
And I decided to live once more
To drown and surface in the sky
Where clouds curl as seashells blue
Lying on the beach, abandoned by the tide
I felt ancient, yet shiny and new
As above me salty seagulls cried.

Contrary winds once tore me apart
And storms raged inside my mind
For too long lost in my own heart.

You held my hand, eyes so kind
Waves upon waves of dawn upon the shore
You made me a lucky paper crane
And allowed me to live once more
For this life is too much pain.

Child of the sea I always came home
In times of doubt or difficulty.

Throw me lifeless in the foam
Home in that breathless eternity
I shed my skin, step out from who I used to be
And lie to dry beneath the blushing sun

Wave upon wave of dawn upon the shore
Smiling you hand me the loaded gun
And allow me to live once more.
