Nightmares come with morning

Nightmares come with morning
So far from where I thought I was
In the sunshine dreams escaping

The hourglass twirls and sand goes flying
I asked her why she said because
Nightmares come with morning

In the staircase pebble thrown still waking
Sleepwalker the cat stretches its claws
In the sunshine dreams escaping

From the blindness eyes still blinking
The mind is drifting in light gauze
Nightmares come with morning

In the garden of forbidden fruits walking
I pick the serpent that crawls
Oh I feel the pain of dreams escaping

Red balloons rise, a breeze is blowing
In one bright word the wind falls
Nightmares come with morning
In the sunshine dreams escaping.
